What are we looking for?

Yellowbrick is a 100% subsidiary of the Flowbird Group and responsible for the development of Mobile Paid Parking (MPP) throughout the world.

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our financial department @Yellowbrick.You are a team player, proactive, accurate, take responsibility, have an eye for detail and good communication skills.

You will be responsible for managing several financial aspects of our company and be in charge of the monthly closing of our financials. You can oversee the daily accounting, payroll and budgeting processes and evaluate, analyse and make the numbers talk!

Next to this you get energy to complete projects, have eye for detail in order to tackle and professionalise matters from there.

Objectives of this role

• Responsible for month end close and financial reporting including analyses. You provide comprehensive financial updates to several managers and Flowbird by evaluating analysing, and reporting appropriate financial data
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial and internal controls and guidelines
• Prepare together with CFO forecast and budget, analysis and corrective actions. You ensure together with the CFO that there are continuous insights in the financials to drive the business forward
• Proactively contributing to the improvement of bottlenecks in business processes and the finance department through innovative process development
• Driving and coordinating annual accounts and audits ensuring all legal requirements are met
• Driving and managing fiscal reporting like VAT and C.I.T.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, team and organisational budgets and actual expenditures
• Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximise protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
• Support on BI tooling SuperSet and KPI dashboards

Who are you?

• Finished bachelor’s degree in Finance
• Experience in controlling role
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
• Exemplary history of financial project management
  You speak and write Dutch and English fluently
• Knowledge of AFAS is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Ability to maintain an overview of financial data
